Cinematography

Black Flag is NOT punk music

"Looking for Lenny"...Post Interview...Henry Rollins...things went well...

Just completed one of the final interviews for Elan Gale’s Documentary “Looking For Lenny.”

Using only available light for the majority of the interviews, I have to say we’ve been able to capture some nice looking talking heads…Though I may have spoken too soon, as I have yet to see a final cut…

Elan and Andrew have been working feverishly to complete a version in time for Sundance, and I’m sure a few tweaks will have to be made yet. None the less, the completion of my first feature length documentary as Cinematographer (along side Bradley Reed of course) is nearing!

"Nowhere Road" re-shoots with steadicam operator Morgan Jenkins

On set with Steadicam Op Morgan Jenkins for re-shoots.

Director Benjamin Dynice requested that I step up from Gaffer to DP the re-shoots for his short horror/thriller film NOWHERE ROAD… It was a successful night up in Canyon Country, CA.

Cinematographer Michael Roy was ill with the SWINE FLU or WEST NILE or something, so I stepped up to complete his great work.

We shot using the RED camera, and were able to get some scorching mid-day shots, along with some really great low-light night ACTION shots for the chase sequence…. “BEST shots of the movie” (so I’ve heard….Michael…get well soon).
